Not really a trivia question since I don't know the answer, but anyways. When did airbags become available for the 3rd gen max. I thought it was in 1992, but I have seen some 92's without airbags. My 94 has one, and I was wondering if the 93's do or do not. I can't seem to find it anywhere on the internet so I thought I'd ask here.

 

My 92se has one. Maybe it was an option in 1992 or standard for the SE. I donno.

 

1992-1994 it was an option, only for the driver side.

'95+ driver and passenger air bags were standard.

Ok, I got another one. Was there ever a 92 VG SE with an airbag or was the airbag only on the VE SE's?

 

There was never a 92 se VG period.

 

Actually guys, I have a 92 Nissan Maxima brochure. The airbag in the 92 didn't wasn't available until October 91, it's right here in print. Also there was never a 92 SE VG. That VE was part of Nissans big ad campaign in 92. The truly made the max a Four door sports car

 

Just to make sure I'm not crazy, there was a SE model with the VG engine at some point right?

 

Yep, the 89-91 SE's had the VG engine.
