I recently bought a '91 Max SE. The speedo does not work. Is there an electronic sensor or cable? And where is it located? Anyone help me? Thanks!

Yes, there is a speed sensor. I don't know the steps to replace it. I know Courtesy Nissan has them and will honor our 25% discount. To expedite your reply, you may want to post on the other bbs too

Sorry I couldn't help much.

The speedo plug

The plug could be disconnected.

Pop the hood stand on the drivers side(stand next to rim of the tire), look down at the tranny some what passed the master cylinder(About a half foot from the fender). On the tranny you will see two cables w/attachments. One is for the tach. the other is for the speedo. The one that is floating is the speedo, the one of the tranny is the tach. Ill be honest, I disconnected the plug at different times for obvious reasons.

Let me know,
