Y2k muffler is okay. Actually quieter->

than before. (replaced a stock system) Power is *maybe* better. hard to tell really. Sound is nice no buzzes or resonances. What did you need to know again about your engine?

you asked me why i though i had a bent rod.
basically it ate some water and stalled. when i restarted it started to make this loud tapping/knocking noise. i took to the local dealer and they said it is likely to be a bent rod and he could also hear the VTC's. i had the VTC's fixed and as i expected the tapping is still there i believe that it may be a bent/unseated valve or broken lifter or more of that sort. if water cannot be compressed then the weakest part of the engine would be most likely to break. valves or lifters are morel likely to break then a rod. plus the car has done 2000 miles since the incident and is still running strong. (she can still top 130 easy). my q's are in the post as well as something else/mods i would like your opinion on. just a few things i would like to try on a VE, all motor stuff at that.

TIA

3 things needed to make a sucessful all motor VE:

More compression: Raise it to something around 12:1. Yes, you can do it.
More air: Port everything, bigger filters, bored TB, etc.
More fuel: Bigger injectors, different cams, etc.
