I have an occasional puff of smoke that comes from under the hood. It is coming from between the engine and the firewall, I think I saw it once. It only lasts a few seconds, then it goes away...any ideas?

When does it occur? At start-up? After the car has been running a while? What does the smoke smell like? Can you give more details? Not trying to be rude, but it's hard to figure it out without knowing everything possible.

might want to check the rear valve cover for oil leaks its possible and I've seen this frequently when the valve cover gasket begins to leak it runs down on to the exhaust manifold and poof here comes a little smoke then burns off
. check and see and let me know
