new brakes?
#1
I just had my brakes checked out, and it turns out that my front right rotor is below specs, all pads are below 50%, the left rotor is heavily glazed, and the rear drums need to be re-aligned and cleaned. On top of that, my brake fluid needs to be flushed. Instead of replacing the parts with OEM, I want to upgrade- seeing as I already have to replace mostly everything. I read the brake FAQ sticky, but everything seems to be so expensive. All I want is something that will stop me better than OEM with no squeaking. Can anyone help?

Performance costs money. Nuf said. Honestly though, new brake pads/rotors/rear shoes + rebleed brakes will probably FEEL like upgraded brakes anyway. Just don't skimp on the rotors etc..
Tell the mechanic to check the rear cylinders to make sure they are okay.

I was also looking at the porterfield blank rotors for $70 plus their cheapest pads for $89. Would this combination be better than OEM rotors plus porterfield pads? Thanks for the help. Miles
