self-dimming light

the interior light in the car that comes on whenever you open the door....Does it only dim for the driver's door? Because on mine, it dims for the driver and just goes off whenever any of the other doors are shut.

That is the same way with my '93 GXE. I'm sure that is the way it was designed. I wonder if there is a way to rig the two map lights in the front to come on when the doors are opened?

If you find out..

I'd like to do that myself. I don't think there's enough light on the dash whenever the doors are open. I thought about that, but I'm not an electrician and don't aspire to be.

it could pretty easily be done.. just remove your headliner and run another dimmed circuit wire from your dome light to your map lights.. that's about it.
