To those who have lowered their 3rd Gens...

I have th Eibach/KYB GR-2 combo for about 2 months now. I really like the ride of the car but sometimes I wish the struts were a little bit stiffer. Because I live in MA where it snows during winter I am too affraid to lower the car more than 1.25'' which is why I went with the Eibach springs.
The car is definitley more stable at high speeds and much more fun to drive around the corners but other than that I don't think anything changed...the ride is still pretty nice and not harsh at all. Also...I got new rims and tires after the suspension upgrade so that affected the ride also.
The parts cost me about $420 all together and the install was another $200.
I would definitley recommend this combination but if you are looking to do some serious high speed(80mph+) 90 degree turns I would go with the much more expensive Koni's because they are much more stiffer. I don't have any experience with the Tokico's so they might actually be stiffer than KYB in which case I would go with those.
That's my opinion of it anyway.

Sprint 1.8s" and KYB GR-2s.....
I like them so far...now that they've settled the ride over big bumps/pothiles has become harsh, but the look is all worth it....the wheel gap is bascially gone and the cars stance looks great from the front with the Stillen lip! the rear doesn't seem as low as the Intrax rear(on James92se's car), but none the less I'm satisfied...I reccomend this setup to anyone looking for an affordable drop, $370 shipped for everything...heres a few pics and one in my sig.

hehe...
i have the Eibach/tok setup and have been nothing but pleased...harsher ride due to the stiffness of the springs but not too far from stock...as far as pics i think ngthing has a page that compares all of the drops...

I've got the eibach/Tokico also. Much better thatn stock - also much stiffer. This depends on the road quality though. Lots of construction around here this summer. You don't notice a thing on smooth roads.
I don't regret it in any way. I think it looks awesome and the ride is good with excellent handling.

i have intrax/tokico combo. i love the drop and it's got a decent kinda bumpy ride. i wish i woulda gotten sprint springs since they drop a little lower in the front. my *** is kinda lower than the front, and now i'm kinda leaning away from getting a system in my trunk fearing that it will go even lower in the rear. other than that, they're dope.

I have the Tokico/eibach set up and I'm surprised no one else complained about this combo. I found it much better than stock but a little too soft for my liking after some time. I think the tokico's were the weak link in the setup. I don't know how long I've had the set up on but I've had to replace the front toks once already (I have 208,000 miles) and now I think I need the whole combo replaced as my car is bouncing around like I have hydraulics!

Spring/Strut set up
Suspension Technique/Gabriel. Wen't gabriel becuase they were cheap. But the ride is still nice, until you hit a pothole of course. I'll probably either move over to KYB or tokico not sure which exactly. the 1.5" drop looks tiiiight.

Well....
from my understanding when you go lower more than 1.5" handling tends to go to **** anyways...so the only alternative would be Konis as far as shocks. since Tokicos are on the same level with KYBs and according to the concensus across the board, no real difference in overall or final performance. I think no matter what struts you get(other than Konis), unless you get Eibachs or possibly Sus Techs, you're handling is gonna eventually diminish because of the extremely dropped height and the body roll caused by the 3000+ lb chasis!
