I have a 92 Maxima SE w/auto transmission. For awhile now, the car is shifting hard. While trying to shift, the engine will rev up, then it will shift in the next gear. I have taken it to a transmission shop and they can't find a problem. Has anyone experience this before?

My auto has been doing the same sort of thing too but less now that I have synethetic tranny fluid. But when the car warms up and I do alot of stop and start driving mine will sort of do the same. Do yours do it more from 1st to 2nd gear? But shifts better once the air con is on? I have taken my car to a machanic too and they said there is no problem too, but I know it is not normal.... Hope someone can reply for both of us.... Let me know what gears it does it the most for U.

 

For me, it usually happens in 1st gear.
