Fog light and LEd washer light hook up
#1
Does anybody know how to hook up some different foglights to a 3rd gen SE max with the stock ugly fog lights. I bought some blue round ones and want to install myself to avoid costly installation charges. It shouldn't be too hard because there are already foglight wires on the car so I would just have to cut those and hook up the new fog light wires to the old ones right? If anyone has step by step instructions let me know please. Another thing. Does anyone know how to install the winshield nozzle LED lights. It doesn't seem too hard but I would apreciate some instructions to help me out a little. Thanx in advance.

Yeah, you should be able to solder the new fogs into the existing ones. Just cut the old wires and match up the colors, and you should be good to go. Be sure to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery first before working on the lights. I'm not sure about the windshield lights though. Good luck.

ghostmax is right about the fogs. I'd definitely recommend testing the circuits with a test light or multimeter beforehand. Not a lot of fun if U switch polarity!
As 4 the LED washer nozzles, that's just as easy. I think I just posted some detailed instructions on this a few days ago in another forum. But just in case U missed that:
Just take the wire with the trace on it (or I think one is red and the other black - in that case, just take the red wire) that's coming from the nozzles. This will connect to the pink wire that's going to your cornering lenses. Test THIS wire, too, as I'm only going by memory. I mention this wire because this will allow the nozzles to be on when your parking lights are on. If U want to have them come on when another circuit is on (i.e., turn signals, fog lights, etc..), then you'll have to attach this wire to the "hot" wire for that particular circuit.
And of course, the remaining wire gets grounded to a GOOD ground point on the vehicle. Make sure that you don't route the wires along somewhere that may pinch or bind the wires. I've got mine running along the washer hose, but U might want to go somewhere else.
Drop me a line if U need any help.
