sometimes when i start my car and listen to a cd or even the radio, it never works. hitting the console from the bottom right of the drivers right side usually fixes the problem. any ideas on really how to fix the problem? thanks in advance

I would try removing the radio head unit to see if there is a loose/dirty connection. It might be that you hitting the console is making the connection good again, but only for a short period of time.

luck

I've seen a few of Maximas with this problem over
at bay car. I suggest you have it taken out and
looked at by your local audio shop.

"i don't know anything about the bose system...." but "bose sux"....okay

BOSE is just like any other part of these cars (i.e. VTC'c, timing belts, Y-pipes, faulty clocks,tranny...) They have parts that go out after a long time. But the Bose when working is top notch. All the sound you need, without forcing everyone else to listen to it.

Have you ever stood outside you car and listened to the radio, then closed the door and saw how quiet it was. That is sound insulation by design, and it is genius

Re: Re: bose sux

I'll agree with blacknwhite on that one.
The bose system was pretty good when
I first had it. That was because they
had tuned ported enclosures for the front speaks
and half assed decent quality speakers for the rear.
Too bad its unreliable as hell and freakin hard to
upgrade. Oh well, Nissan planned it that way.
