Anyone have any suggestions on a good way to quiet the interior of my car. The road noise is a lot louder than I would like it to be. I even got the yoko db tires that practically eliminate tire noise, but it is still airy in the cabin. I was considering replacing the weatherstripping on the doors, but Im not sure if that will still get rid of the windy sound when Im either on the highway or even at around 40mph. My gf has 97 GXE and it is 50 times quieter in her car than mine. And when I drive it, there is absolutely no vibration or noise. Should I use dynomat? are there any gaps in places that I can seal or way I can reduce vibration? I love my car, but the 4th gens seem to be more comfortable and quiet to me...Thanks.

I was thinking about dynomat, but I dont know if its worth the $$. Its pretty costly, but I think that the weather stripping replacement may help at least a little. Does anyone know how well the the Spray matting works? I was thinking about using a can the get most of the corners and the hard to reach spots. I wonder if this would be effective.

NYCe, how is your 98? do you like it over your 3rd gen? I know the 3rd gen had its share of repairs, but overall how does it compare? You going to mod it soon?

put a small strip of paper on the top of your window frame, then shut the door.. try to pull the paper out.. if it will slide out, then you need to "tweak" the door so it'll seal tighter..

simply just put your knee about where the door lock is, and grab the top of the door frame and give it a few good jerks inward to bend the frame slightly.. you're not tearing it apart, just "adjusting" it. treat it accordingly.
do the paper strip test again... check at the front and read of the door frame, you can adjust both of them "seperately"..

U can get dynamat pretty cheap on the net, look around for it. The newer dynamat extreme is a lot lighter than the previous kind also. I used it in the trunk to keep the 12s from rattling the lid. Just a suggestion.

Well, I gutted out my trunk a week ago to clean it out. I Cut a piece of new carpeting to fit the trunk. I did think about getting the dynomat at least for the trunk lid and floor. Do you know of any good sites to find dynomat at a good price? I will also be putting some in the iside of the door shells. Hopefully that will smooth things down a little

What do you think about the prices at the stores on e-bay? I haven't found it for much less than what some of those people have it for. Good luck. How about this...
