Hi everyone, i hope someone can help me with my Maxima problem:

I have an 89 SE and everything works great but one thing. When i start the car and turn on the headlights, the headlights work fine, but the inside dash lights (the speedometer, tachometer, etc.) won't light up.

After the car has been running for a few minutes, i can turn the headlight switch off, then back on, and magically the speedometer lights come on! This is a big pain and it is a flaw to an otherwise PERFECT car.

Can someone help me with this problem??

Have you had an aftermarket stereo installed in your car? illumination wire(ushually orange)this could be causeing problems. If this doesnt help i would have to say it's a short in the illumination button circuit.
