93 max bose audio question
Best way....
best way to finalize any BOSE problems are to replace the entire system with a quality aftermarket of your choice. the amps and head units are bug prone. all 3rd gen maxes will have or have had "BOSE problems"
I myself after 3 used headunits and replacing the amps 4 times with used ones finally decided to trash the hole sytem minus the stock speakers. GLAD I DID! would have been better to do this 5 years ago when it started.
nice 4ch amp, and all new wiring bypassing the stock amps.
You won't regret it

some experiences
Not sure exactly what the prob is. It could be the fuse on the back of the head unit. Or in the case of my bro, it was the alternator.

I had a problem with the bose am/fm/tape/cd head unit about 3 months ago. I was on a long trip and it all of a sudden cut out. Everything functioned normally, except no volume. Then it kicked back in after about 5-10 minutes, and played fine all the way home. The next morning, nothing worked: it didn't even send up the antenna when I hit the am/fm button. After checking all fuses, connections, etc., I brought it to the dealer and they sent it off to CA somewhere, and 5 days and $180 later, everything was fine. No problems yet. They said it was a bad circuit board.
