I'm looking to wire interior lights (doors, dome) to some kind of switch. Does anyone have any suggestions, like an easy place to get to that circut?

yeah i wanted to do this too.

It'd be cool to turn the door lights on when you what w/out opening the door. The best thing i can think of is a relay w/ a switch, so you can trick the system into thinking the door is open, i can do it but i have to think of a way to wire the relay correctly( don't like trial and error when it comes to electrical wires). The trick is finding a place to put a switch, idont want to drill holes in my car.

I know there are little buttons at the bottom of the front doors which sense if they're open. Don't know where the ones are for the back. Either way, I figure they all have to connect together somewhere and hook up to a positive. If I knew where that was, I could sneak a wire in between there. I'm thinking of taking out that change holder next to the [power-a/t-comfort] thingy and mounting the switch in that hole. Maybe someone around here has a wiring diagram or repair manual, they might have more info...

ummm don't hook up the wire to a positive otherwise you might short something. The way most japanese interior lights work is by putting ground onto the door trigger wire like some alarms do when you disarm it. The lights will turn on as a courtesy light. Anyhow, if you guys want cruising lights, just add your own. Under the seat or under the dash. Good luck with tapping into the door trigger wires.

No, I'm looking for more of the 'stealth mode' effect. I guess I'll have to try fishin' for wires...

Door lights switch

It's not necessary to find the common point of all the door buttons. It's enough to install an additional switch "in parallel" with the button on the driver's door, and you can turn ALL of the door lights with that switch.

Good luck,
