JWT pop charger, Place CAI, or Warpspeed CAI, which ones better?

Which one is the best? Is there any difference between the Place and Warpspeed CAI, horsepowerwise? Search function is no help on this one

either CAI is going to be more beneficial than the POP
I'd say both will give you about equal gain so get wsp since it's cheaper

yeah go for the WSP. they will be so close as far as gains that it would be hard to tell.

I really dont see why anyone would spend $100 or more on a pop-charger, when for like $30 more you can just get a CAI (sorry for you guys who overpaid for pop-chargers!). I think everyone will tell you that the CAI is by far the better choice. The pop-charger will give you, what, like maaaybe 2 hp on the top end? Not to mention you lose a lot of bottom end.

$25 for my POP (APC filter w/ custom adapter ... took 20 minutes to do everything). I don't think I lost that much low-end, if any.

Well now that I can respect, cuz, well, I did the same thing. I just cant see why in the world someone would pay over $100 for a pop-charger, it just boggles my mind! It's a freakin' adapter plate, and an overpriced filter!! After switching to CAI after having my custom pop-charger for a few months, I can say that I lost a TON of low end with the pop. I couldnt even break the tires loose off the line when I had the pop-charger, but now I can peel out nicely, and it just pulls harder all the way till redline.

So, James, are you saying that the CAI helped you so much, that you can just simply step on the gas and it will break the tires loose or will it just chirp? I am looking to get a faster car, but I don't want to cut a big hole in my wheel well for a CAI. Plus, I am moving to NC where it rains almost every other day. I don't think I will do it unless someone here can convince me otherwise.

The only time I can turn the tires over without doing a torque brake is when the engine is cold or it's cool (below 70) outside. When I do a torque brake, it's easy to break them loose. But, on hot days (over 85), my car is so slow, I don't even like driving it. Is there something wrong with my car? Sorry about changing the topic a little.

or
under the fender well, saftly kept away from water and and moving parts?

dude, you don't really even see the hole. the pipe fills it up. it looks really clean and really nice. everyone says that "oh i don't want a hole in my car" it's no big deal. really!

Has anyone ever had any experience with CAI's in winter conditions? Is there any chance of snow getting up there or blocking the intake

inside the fender, you have to remove the inner fender to see it.

To get it out and clean it, you'll need to take out the inner fender, and probably the drivers side wheel as well. You really wouldnt be cleaning it that often anyway and it's really no biggie at all.

too add to that you don't need to remove the wheel....when my car was stock height i would just take the inner fender piece out to get to it. now that it's lowered i just have to jack it up...
