New Exhaust Studs

New Exhaust Studs
All,
I just received my front pipe, gaskets, studs, bolts and nuts for my 92 GXE. There are total of 6 double threaded studs with nuts for coupling the pipe to the manifolds, and 2 hex bolts for mating to the CAT converter. Are these correct parts? I'm a little suspecious b/c the ones on my existing pipe look different.
Also, any advice for removing the old pipe especially the rusted studs will be greatly appreciated.

Here's the correct parts you need.
when removing the old studs, spray them well before hand with a liquid wrench type stuff.. if nothing else, WD-40 will help over nothing. let is sit about 30 minutes, then spray again.. wait about 10 minutes then start pulling studs off...
i.e. when you start the job, just spray 'em down, then keep doing it every half hour until you get to the studs.

No, those are for the VG. (I used to have a 93GXE, for which I bought those studs).
those ARE the correct parts, as that's the second set I bought and everything worked.
If the studs themselves don't say "turbo" on the package, then they're probably the old VG studs, which will break again. the "new" studs are the ones for a turbo Z, which are much stronger than the original ones on our car. (thus, nissan HAS noted the studs breaking on 3rd gen Maximas is a problem and has done this much to correct it.).
If your dealer gave you the wrong parts, you should tell them to update their parts computers and read their tech service bulletins (TSB) again.. This problem was noted and supposedly fixed several years ago.
