i got right now performance wise a pretty stock 90 SE 5spd...and me and my friend are kinda hypin up a race between us at the last time trial in englishtown this season,he has a 90 Mazda RX7 which when we went last time i had a 1990 eagle talon tsi 2wd 5spd and ran a 16.0,he ran a 16.9,but since he has gotten a full exhaust header to mufflers,but when we race im gonna have a warpspeed CAI and warpspeed Ypipe,btw my best this season was 17.1,am i in over my head or do i have a legit shot?

 

I think the your problem is your rims if you were running with them
because they're to heavy. I have a 89 SE auto and all i have is a cat back exhaust and i ran a 15.86 at Englishtown. What was your reaction time?

 

well i put my 15"s back on the front,and r/t doesnt effect e/t in time trials,15's is unheard of in a VG auto...i think that would be tough with just about every bolt on available,but im no expert but i was told on here by a few people that 16.5 is stock on the VG 5speed,and with an auto you can add on .5-1.0 sec so 17.0 or so on the VG auto

So... How much NOS were you running? 50 shot? 75 shot? Thats pretty good. Maybe I should sell my VE-T 5sp. and get a car that can really go like a VG auto.

Lessee... VG auto... catback but with exhaust cut-out... every single bolt-on known to mankind... garbage bag full of dry ice on manifold... B&M Trick Shift goop everywhere... drag slicks on 13x8" wheels... and 3000 stall TC... yeah, that should just about do it!

I smoke RX7 (non-turbo) ones. I ran against one in E-town blew him away, and he had lost of **** done to his car some engine stuff, took out his whole interior a/c off power steering off, bunch of other crap, and thats when i had my straight pipe i was running mid 16s back then he was in the upper 16's low 17's. AND WHO SAID VG CANT DO 15'S?????????? 15.9 with rims and just bolt on mods. like filter and exhaust, ohh and did i mention i had full tank of gas. Im going to english town next week will see what happens, i have few things in mind. Ill let u know what happened

 

VG auto most likely. VERY hard to get into the 15's
