I was reading up on the old max in its owners manual and was surprised to see that we have overhead display for the windshield. My 90 SE didn't come with it, does anyone have it? If so, is it something that I can install in my max?

HUD came w/ the digital dash i believe...or at least a option. it's not something you can put it..unless u use aftermarket HUD.

Dan is right, it came with the digital speedo package (which was only an option for GXEs 89-91 I think)
there's not really a way to use it with the regular gauge setup unfortunately; that would look pretty neat

I am pretty sure that this was already answered, but is it possible to put the digi dash in a SE?

not really
theres all kinds of extra wiring you would have to add, get new harnesses and add some sensors here and there
it COULD be done, but not in any reasonable amount of time or money

I have the HUD in my car. In the past four years I may have used it a couple times for kicks, otherwise it's a useless feature......
