Resetting computer on 1992 maxima

pull the engine fuse, or just disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes. even better would be overnight, just to make sure any residual power left in the capacitors in the circuit have discharged and the ECU has no reserve power..
blah blah blah.. disconnect the battery for a couple hours.

Either disconnect you negative lead from your battery overnight, or turn the ecu diagnostic screw into diagnostic mode and then back to its normal position. I prefer this method as I don't get blasted by the car alarm going off as I reconnect the battery lead.

I pulled the engine fuse and had disconnected the battery, just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else that had to be done.
The car had been running like hell(misfiring, and dying spontaneously) so we ended up having to replace the ignition coil relay(toasted) and the car kept running bad. So I cleared the computer and it seems to be perfectly fine thus far. Hopefully everything is good now.
Thanks
Shane
