Cattman Y-pipe

Time for a new Y-pipe on my '94 SE...I'm considering getting a Cattman Y-pipe...any long term experience with these? I don't want to get an aftermarket part that starts leaking after 6 monhts. It's gonna be a driveway job, I have instructions from 4dsc.com but any advice would be appreciated. Also, does the Cattman Y-pipe work well with the stock catalytic converter and cat back exhaust?

I don't see where the Cattman Y is a current product for 3rd gens, I'd go with a warpspeed anyway...

Does Cattman still make a 3rd generation y-pipe? I thought only warpspeed does now?

I have a Cattman y-pipe I bought used back in 2003. It is all stainless, well made and still fine with no rust or corrosion issues and no noise from the flex section. The front pipe sticks down a ways and the person I bought it from scraped it some. It is noticeably lower than the Warpspeed y-pipe.

When I bought it, the flanges had some surface rust (it came from Rhode Island) but I took that off with a wire wheel.

Before:

After

(I pulled out the flattened O-ring, too)

When I first installed it, I had it on with a stock cat and stock exhaust. There was not a noticeable difference in sound (the intake is much louder) but there was a "seat of the pants" increase in performance.

interesting, I didn't see it on the cattman website but assumed they still make one. I'll check out the warpspeed product, I know right on the 4dsc article the guy who did the install said the cattman pipe vibrates on the sway bar.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful, but I would mention that we still have the Place Racing CAIs for the 92-94 SE, as well as the classic Cattman T-Bar titanium FSTB.
