So Im on my way to pick up my new 17" 2001 SE rims and I go to use the cruise control. I turn it on and when I hit set it just starts flashing and it wont hold the speed, WTF?

 

i removed my cruise control unit....when i try to turn it on, that's all i get.

if you still have the unit installed, and it was working previously, i would check all your connections at the unit itself, and trace the wiring back and look for loose/bad connections/wires.

 

check the button sensors on the pedals.

 

On mine the CC went out. I am not 100 percent sure which part, I just got a new assembly from a junkyard car.

When I replaced it, initially it didn't work (flashing CC light). Then I disconnected the battery overnight and when I reconnected it, the cruise worked fine.

 

Hmm, I think I need to look at the service manual, I would like to know what to look at specifically.
