Hello All,

I've read and searched a lot of posts here but have not come across any that duplicates my problem or maybe I have not read it yet. I've read a lot of good advise from a lot of guys to others and hope that I can get some insight to my Maxima's dilema.

Please bear with me on discription of problem and would provide additional info as required.

- 1993 GLE Stock, Family car- 219000 kms
- Serviced at dealer - VG30E
- problem is not temperature dependant
hot / cold day, hot / cold engine.

Problem started about 4 months ago, dealer could not find anything wrong.

Weather the engine is running or the key is just turned to the on position(not started)Ign lights etc come on but 5 - 10 secs after, the radiator relays start clicking, the rad fans come on and the chk engine light will illuminate.(note chk eng light resets when key is turned off) I chked ECU for codes in mode III but none are stored. *note* ECU led's both light up then when problem occours red led remains on.

Sometimes I will start the car and the same scenario occours after 10 seconds and sometimes will not happen for up to 20 mins(engine running) sorta random. With engine running when this occours the car sometimes stalls and other times it will not stall but just go in this strange mode WITH THE CHK ENG LT ON.

RPM is not affected like in a safe mode condition ( 2000 - 2400 )

Replaced Fuel Pump,fuel pump sending unit, relays (fuel pump and Engine control relay) checked ECTS as per nissan service manual. Chked air filter, connections, looked for broken wires, chked all fuses in car and hood. Replaced daytime module(not related to problem).

A bit long winded but it's driving me round the bend.
