Tranny cooler received

Tranny cooler received

I just received my tranny cooler from ebay. While im messin with the tranny fluid I might as well change the tranny oil too. I was just wonderin how much oil does the VG trannt take??

According to the fsm,a complete dry fill is 7 7/8 quarts,but just a drain/refill would be around 5-6 quarts..

If you are going to do a simple drain/refill,then i recommend repeating the process in about a week of original drain/refill..This should remove most of the sediment/crap that the new fluid removes from the internals of the tranny.

If you have the spare cash then i would use nissanmatic-d fluid on the final refill.

The return line to transmission is on the passenger side of the radiator,which is the line you need to route into your cooler,then route the other outlet line from the trans cooler into the return inlet line on your transmission..

Thanks Ill have to get on that monday I just wanna get everything ready.
Im goin out of town friday, saturday and sunday.
