R.I.P 89' Max :'(

Just gotten home from some holiday shopping, when making a right turn off a busy street, I got hammered in the rear and 180'ed sideways into a box truck. My max since my sophmore year of high school is totaled. Lucky, Our Maximas make us wear our seatbelts as I dont think I would have came out without a scratch. The side of the box truck was really close to decapitating me through my window. But it looks like i gotta look for another car to take it's place so it might be so long to the max forums, but If the insurance company dont pay me out enough i might part it out. But everything from the back passenger cab back is gone, Luckly my wheels are intact so i might take those off and maybe the stillen air filter off it. It's a manual trans, also has headers and and a new exhaust just barely a year old. Just wanted to give a heads up,I might have to part it. I can take the easy interior stuff off, if anyone needs. So be on the look out. The insurance company should be out soon! Sooo young! Really wanting an old honda crx that runs for anyone that might know of a good one.

Ouch, I guess since its a right turn, its going to raise your insurance?
Did you get hit from a car whose lane you were turning in to? Or was a fool not paying attention rear ended you as you were making your turn?

Glad you're OK. Be safe out there and don't be afraid to take your time on the road. I drive on Cali's 118 (accidents daily) and 405 (worst freeway in So. California, possibly the US) and I feel like I'm in a reckless driving tournament, being a defensive driver is a must. Let those fools honk there horns, I saw an accident right in front of me because the Accord didn't have the patience to drive 37 behind me in the 35 zone. (Long short story).

Anyways what hit you and how fast?
Pics?

Location

Springfield, Missouri. I see most members are from the east coast...not too far.

Anways. Yeah she admitted fault, that she was not paying attension. I saw it coming too in my rearview mirror. I wasnt speeding or anything just a normal right turn onto an offstreet, which a hugh box truck was blocking most of my turning space, so I had to slow down to make a sharp turn. If she was doing the speed limit, she was probably doin 45 or 50mph, she smacked the left corner of my bumper which spun me sideways right into the box truck. I just took pictures today, my girlfriend will have to upload them for me. She was in the car with me also, but she is fine.

I'm sorry to hear about your car but I'm also glad to hear you are alright. In the end that is all that matters, You can get another car but not another you.

Parts

I have over the weekend to get some easy parts out before the insurance company comes to get it. They only wanna give me 1700 for it. So if anyone needs any minor parts, let me know. I have headlights that arent even a year old on the car... Here's a list of things im going to pick out my self. Everything else will be on request or later posted in the parts section. Just dont pick things out that are major. Buyer pays shipping.

*Stillen Air intake-$25 Ill throw in the cleaning kit if you take it. About a year old.

*interior is blue. Just request a part. Nothing tooo major.

*Front Strut brace-$5.00

*Headlights- Year old brand new- Not damaged.- $30 for the pair

*Foglights- used ones i found in good shape year old bulbs- $20 for both.

*Rear end is toast and driver side is toast. I think the right tail light is intact.

*minor engine parts..Mass air flow and things of that nature.

Those are what I will take off. Everything else ill do on request,no extra charge or anything just really dont need anything else.

Sorry if this turned into a parts post. Just didnt want to make another.
