waterpump

waterpump

is the vg/ve pump the same? my coolant is leaking (if u look under the car) from the biggest pulley? is it the waterpump? thank for any help.

NO, They are totally different. The VE water pump is a royal PITA to fix. It is also larger than the VG, I think...

yup big difference...i drank beer while my buddy changed his VE pump and it wasn't a pretty job...if you don't have the time or decent mechanical skills say hello to the dealer

Definetely different, the VE pump being bigger. I assume it pumps more. It is very hard to remove. If it wasn's so tight, it would be easy. I did it on the 92 SE. The detailed instructions are on my site.
