Waterpump replace

Looks like my waterpump is going fast on my 95 SE, whats a reasonable price to replace one and what do the mechanics need to look for?

And plz dont point me to the faqs (read them) i'd like input from other members.

Thx!

what makes you think your pump is going to begin with?

I would expect to pay anything from 300-400 bucks including parts and labor...

Water streaming from the weep hole I think, its very hard to see in there, but it seems to be that.

Dont get me wrong Ive replaced pumps before but this seems like a PITA.

If you do have coolant seeping from the weephole, then yes, it is time for a new WP.

I wasn't undermining your ability to determine a failing pump or judging you on your decision to have someone do the job. I was just curious as to why you thought the pump was failing.

From what I've read/heard, it is a PITA, but that's all the more reason that I'm inclined to try it on my own

I did mine this weekend. Definitely not an easy thing to do with the very limited space and careful handling invovled, but I was able to get it done.

This is the instructions I used and there is the FAQ, but the water pump only has 3 bolts holding it in.

I paid 345.00 and 150.oo for labor, That also included replacing the SLA-Tensioner part bc that removal is necessary to change the Waterpump...
max doesnt sound like a box of rattle rocks nemore either.
