Pathfinder Clutch kit/flywheel?

Will a late 80's pathy clutch kit and flywheel fit on a 3rg gen vg? I would assume so because the vg flywheels should be the same, and since the clutch contacts the flywheel... etc. The pathy has a vg too but i tihnk it only made 140 hp, and most likely a different trans, but would the clutch kit and flywheel work? Thanks...

it may.
though the flywheel offsets are different along with every part being different
the pathfinder has a minutely larger clutch but the inout shaft appears to be the same.

lol, well no, why would it burn up fast? How long is fast? I might be able to get a new clutch kit for a pathy for free, and i wanted to know if it will work, although it now appears i may be able to get the flywheel off a maxima, would the pathys clutch kit work with our flywheel? Thanks.

a concern to think about is the pathy engine is 140hp, whereas the maxima is 160. I do not know if either of these are at the flywheel or not, but using a clutch rated lower than the one originally equipped, well, I think you get the idea. for free(plus whatever labor/time you need), will it still be worth it to replace if it burns up in a few months? it may not but just a couple of thoughts for you to consider, aside from "will it fit?".

I think it would work if the offset and input shafts are the same but i think the pathfinder will have a heavier flywheel and the presser plate might be a little heaver since it is made to move a heavier body and tow stuff.

offsets are different, size is different.
the only thing in common is the spline count

Both clutches are 240mm, 25.6mm hub and 24 spline count. Where did you get your information?

Please explain the different offsets.....

.04 vs .06 flywheel offset (the flywheels are stepped)
I pulled the information from the sachs and delco clutch catalogs. the pathfinder is a smidge larger (10mm)
