was converted to leather/power seat but...

the freaking idiot did'nt hook em up.

i now own a 92 gxe w/ 142k miles and she runs real good...and i lil' "modded" if i must say.

the inerior was converted to leather and powerseats but the pwerson before me did'nt finish the conversion.

so while the passengers are riding in luxary i'm riding in the regular cloth.

so in the morning i wanna find a good power source before i head out to work.

does anyone know what i could tap into without it blowing a fuse or burning a wire??

i've searched but nothing came up...

thanks in advance

Check under the carpet. I think that all of our cars have the wiring regardless of if they came with power or not.

so remove the carpet and it should be there??
john said he did'nt have the harness.

it should be easy because it's grounded and it only require one positive power wire.
and benstoked: sorry i got a gxe..
but the most important thing is it's still a maxima.

Remove your seat, check under the carpet for the plug. Just because john didn't have them doesn't mean yours don't.My car came with factory manual seats, but my car had the plugs.

Stillman, if you do not have the harness, for a fast way to hook up the power you can just run a wire from the seat under the door sill trim to the fuse box. Its fast and easy and has worked for me for some time. just put out the fuse, put the end of the wire in, and put the fuse back in. Might be a little unorthodox or dangerous, who knows, but it sure works.

Be VERY CAREFUL with your wire. If it shorts out anywhere the sheath will melt and so will your carpet...very quickly...don't ask how I know.

so the previous owner was nice enough to leave you some leather power seats, but is an "idiot" because he didn't hook them up? yet, you come here and ask for help on hooking them up

I agree the previous owner is an idiot for not hooking up the power seats.
what type of fool puts in power seats but leaves them unconnected and rendering them useless essentially

maximal that had me rolling.lol!

here's the thing he wanted a quick sale since she had some body damage (white fender gold hood) luckly i have my fender.

imo i think he figured well if i put in power/leather seats this will attact more people...well it did'nt infact she sat there in 06/07 till now.

and it was'nt hard, hell hooking the radio up was harder than removing both seats to check for a harness which she did'nt come equipped with.
then running power wires with in line fuse.

took me bout 1/2 hour tops to do.
now i'm satisfied.

now to bypass that clarion amp.
