well, I just got my maxima 2 days ago so I havent really done anything with any kind of lighting yet. Can't say I really plan on doing much with LED's though.

it kills your night vision, therefor virtually rendering your car useless for night driving.
IF you find yourself compeled to put leds everywhere, use red. that way you can stil fricking SEE at night.
(blue is my favorite color, but function before form.)

I installed wide-angle white LEDs in each of the door courtesy lights. Those happen to take wedge (194/168) style bulbs so it worked out.

I tried some festoon style LED for the dome light, but it a little too dim.

I put LED's begind my vents, so they can shine out. You can't see them, though. But the effect is VERY cool.

I've also put LED's behind all my buttons and inside the climate control.

I have hyperwhite LED's in my doors and dome light.

I have my gauges with blue wide angle LED's and red LED's that just make the needles light up...making for a very cool effect. Red needles on a blue background looks awesome, IMO.

I replaced the bulbs in the center console with LED's including the evergency lights button.

Basically, I don't have any more bulbs in my car...only LEDs.

Besides making sure you can't see bulbs behind the vents and by your feet, also make sure you wire them to a switch so you can turn them off when you want. Nobody likes to drive around to the store and look like a tool with your car glowing like a spaceship from the inside...unless you're down with that look, and have friends that are too.

never knew that leds would be such a large topic to talk about
its awesome seeing other peopls opions on the subject
