Long time no see

Hey everyone,

Yep I'm still alive, and around. I stop in every once in awhile.

Well due to funding and current location issues (the great sand box... again) my plans have yet been put off... again. And after much butt chewing, it looks like my build up for the VG isn't going to happen. The wife wants a manual again, and I'm not forking out money for a new Mazda 3. So I have to part with my project. "If mom isn't happy... no one is."

So I guess I have to go pick up a motor since the current one is torn down.

I've been eyeing a 300zx myself. I currenlty use a 85 Camaro v6 for my beater, but I'm wanting to go back to Nissan. If I can find a black 3rd gen manual in my area, I'm set, because the wife will let me keep my current project.

Well stuff to do, talk to everyone later.

My car is for sale and it's a manual, but not black...I guess you could always paint it.

What are you asking for it? It doesn't seem like nice VE 5's are fetching much of anything recently.

Yeah, I don't think many people care about these cars. It is cheaper than all of the beat-to-hell, bone stock 240sx's with more miles on the local Craigslist.

I listed it a couple months ago, but the ad slipped down out of view.

Lemme bump it...

I am asking $3800 for everything except the sub and amp. That includes some extra parts -- stock wheels, snow tires on steelies, spare transmission (needs ISB), stock flywheel, etc. If someone gets it, they can have everything in my garage that is Maxima related.

I don't drive it much, but I have taken it on a couple of road trips lately, since it gets better mpg than my diesel truck or my QX4. I want to either buy something faster (I am thinking about a Sentra SE-R with an SR20det) or save up for the new Challenger to buy maybe in 2-3 years.

if you lived closer to me, I would take your car in a heart beat. I would even keep it the same color.

I have a couple of buyers already lined up for the Camaro.

It was going to be my project, I traded an old beat up 720 for a 350, all I had to do was get a new transmission, springs, and radiator for it. Then I would have had a V6 badged Camaro with a 350... LOL

lol, I was just looking on sr20forum.com and I stumbled across a B13 SE-R with a DET for $3000 obo. It needs body work, but it has 315 whp and ran a 12.9@114 2.3 60ft. It's been FS for almost a month and I bet you could pick it up for $2500. Only problem is that it's located in tucson, az. Although, it's pretty close to me....

There is a guy on NWNissan with a nice one for $4400. It's even Aztec Red.

I offered to trade him for the Maxima, but he said he wasn't interested.
