Strut Problem!

OK last weekend I tackled the front suspension on my 90 gxe max I did a ton of work on the front.

new control arms
ball joints
inner/outer tie rods
sway bar links
install new cv boot
kyb struts
new boots
eibach springs
ES bushings

i must say that is one nasty a$$ job!

any way last night I began to work on the rear replacing struts and springs (kyb & eibach) and i gotta say what a messed up engineering job when the rear suspension was designed. I got it all replaced in about 5 hours by myself and when I left this morning the rear passenger side is rattling almost every I hit a bump. I haven't had time to check the strut mount but just off the top of your head .org members what sounds like the problem.

I had this same setup on my 5th gen. and the ride was no where near as hard!

oh yeah I have 18's on there as well and so did my 5th gen.

Thanks

One possibility: For some reason the Gland Packing is not tight enough. If installed w/o loctite, it will even unscrew itself... jack up, wheel off, try tightening ...

On my Nissans this self-unscrew has happened multiple times ... 1-2yrs later (!?), rear and NOT on drivers side. You tell me why. Alcohol cleanup for the threads, add some loctite, problem gone.

I used stanza/bluebird Sachs shocks in rear (here half price). Needs one thick washer on bottom to get it tightened.
