What is this on rear suspension VE 5spd car pic attached
Just picked up this parts car and it is my 5th max and my first VE have not seen this before on any of my others. Was wondering if it helps suspension and if it is something worth switching to my VG car. There is one on each side and has a big spring on it.

LSV or load sensing valve. it allows moar rear brakes when you have moar rear weight. basically makes you stop faster without involving ABS until ABS is totally necessary. i plan to get some for my non-ABS car since that's when it does all of its work anyways is in a non-abs condition.

Point is to get nice ride regardless of load. Allows balancing for your taste... even with bad struts keep vehicle leveled when braking...

OK, wiking, i am reading throught the fsm, and I see how to do the procedure(made easier by the info on your page) but i was wondering,
a) what is a good/cheap source for the pressure gauge?
b) you measure pressure from the bleeder screws on the calipers?

Butt gauge is easiest ... My car was somewhat 'nosy'. I tightened the nuts one turn (both), went to tst drive. Then another turn ... now I like it. Tightened. Who cares about the pressure? Well, if u do that for others, maybe its good to do the measurement. The only danger I see is if adj is too heavy for rear - will surprise unawares on wet/snow surface ... can be real danger. Small cars with no adjustment easily have this problem in winter, get free spin![Frown](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Edit: Actually must complain about my butt adjustment ... with bad front struts mama complained about spin, winter slippery curve downhill... with ABS.
Ask stores selling pneumatics; I guess 25$? Then you need all the bits and pieces for attachment, they easily cost 2x.
Yes, check FSM BR-15
