I dunno, at risk of going against the grain I've always liked the logo in the middle. Maybe because it fills in the blank lines.

as for the grille, when I got my max, it didn't have the logo and I didn't like it at first, but now I think it looks pretty good

I've had many people ask me where I got it, what kind, etc

yeah, I didn't know what I was doing when I first looked at it. I broke out the flashlight and studied it for a while. There are three pieces of plastic you have to push and it pops right out.

First, pop your hood so you can get to the back side of your grill. Sorry, I read over what I wrote and I thought it was funny. Anyways, there are 2 long thin pieces of plastic that you will easily see. Then, the third plastic prong is below it and in the middle. You will see it if you look closely. Just push all three of the plastic prongs towards the center of the emblem and pull on the outside of the emblem and it should slide out. Break out a flashlight, like I did, and mess around with it. You'll get it. Hope this helps.

That's cool. What does GTR stand for anyway? Also, not to change the subject, but I need a FSTB on my VE. How do I do it? Where do I go? How much? Do I buy one for the VG and then modify it?

Where do I get one new? And how much are you willing to sell yours for? Is it still in perfect condition? Did you have to bend it? or did you just put washers on it and it bolts right up?

well, i know this is rape, but 150 bucks. just cause i won't get another one that'll fit. it's in good shape. the underside was worn away a bit from the plenum before i raised it. but you don't have to mod it at all to make it fit. bolts right on.

No, that's alright. I will keep looking. I just wanted some info on who makes one for the VE. I heard Courtesy sells one that fits perfectly. Or they did 2 years ago.

Aaron, try searching for "Freedom Design" on this board. (I feel like I'm the only person who keeps interest in this around!) A guy named nstymax93 (I think) said his Freedom Design FSTB fits just barely and fits OK (I guess) with washers under it. I might be getting this bar once I get a few other things addressed first, hopefully soon. Then I'll really know how well it fits and know for sure if the VE finally has a bar that fits!

I have a pic of nstymax's engine bay with the bar in it (not that you can see a whole lot) if anyone wants. It used to be on his cardomain page but he took it down.

While on the subject of da grille…

…or at least it was…

How do you remove the grille without breaking something? I plan on redoing the grille I have by putting the mesh wire guard on after removing the stock 'bar' setup. I'll have my ride back next by next weekend , and I plan on making these mods happen by then. Thanks!

The grille is held on by some clips, 5 I think. One on each corner, and one in the middle. There is a small plastic screw with a square head in each one. The screw sits on top of a square hole of the same size. When installed, the the screw is turned a half turn out of line so that the corners of the screw hold it on. Use a flat head screwdriver to turn the screw so that it can be pushed back through the hole. Does this for all 5 screws.
