Hey, neat! I remember reading about Extrude Hone way back when it was new and exotic. Basically it's a polishing/honing process that forces this really thick (and disgusting looking) abrasive putty through the intake/manifold/whathaveyou and enlarges the interior and/or polishes it out, depending on how far you go. It's a really neat thing because it can polish out areas that you can't normally reach with a grinder.
Probably good for a few horses at least.

) as well, throw in some cams and boom, you've got yourself some good HP! heres Extrude Hone's site and price list--->http://www.extrudehone.com/automotiveaftr.html
I've been toying with this process for awhile
Since I have a extra set of intake plenum and manifold I'm stuck with what can I do to mod these items. Extrude Honing have been mentioned on this board many times, and I think a couple have tried it with little to no gains depending on mods. One or two SC guys have tried it with no gains, but keep in mind these guys are already running over atmospheric pressure with their blowers. Maybe a N/A motor will be different, but Nissans casting process for our manilfods are alot better than most domestic manufacturers. I've taken a close look at my spare plenum/manifold and it looks pretty good in stock form, no abnormal internal casting flaws. Some have stated just enlarging the ports will yield the same gains for alot less, who knows? I have a have a bored out TB in my garage waiting for me to decide what I'm going to do with these two items, I would like to install all three items the same time. But for $500+ it's kinda hard to decide.
What about the throttle body, do you get any gains from boreing that out. I only want to spend the money if im going to get some somewhat significant gains.
Oh yea, how long do you stay a newbie, ive been a member for awhile.
