Well unless you change the crank, stoke will be unaffected. The VQ35 uses a 81.4mm stroke vs the VGs 83mm, which means the using the VQ35 95.5mm piston size will give you a displacement slightly above 3.5L.
I dont have all the details, but its highly unlikely that these pistons will fit on VG/VE rods without modification.
