Avoiding the obvious problem is retarded, no matter how large the pill.

Hello all! I have a 1990 nissan maxima GXE and am experiencing the same problem! YearOfTheGus i can say man is that if you can garage keep ur car it helps significantly! On my car when i pull out the spark plug for #1 the rpm's don't drop and all the rest do this points to a dirty injector and will be shortly replaced! I will try some of the ideas that have gone spoken on this thread and if i can figure anything out i will let ya'll know! I will be taking engine apart to the head to replace all gaskets as i have one hell nasty oil leak! I have to agree w/the ground being bad on ur car somewhere! I can't tell you enough times that the most complicated problem was resolved by finding a bad ground in the most uncommon place you would have thought to even look! So look hard as i will be too and hope we can fix this most frustrating dilemma!

The best way to make legitimate posts is to comment on recent posts.
Kudos for making the attempt, and not posting "cool car" fifteen times.

If you have a concern that needs immediate attention, we have a newbie question thread, located at the top of the 3rd gen section.

The problem wasn't the injectors, although I ended up replacing those a few months ago. The cheap ebay air filter that I got with a CAI kit ended up rusting, and let moisture into the intake, which caused the MAF to flip out. Replaced that and problem was gone.
