Seat Weight?

Does anybody happen to know how much the driver and passenger seats weigh?

they are fairly light compared to some other cars seats.
are you trying to figure out shipping weights?

Not trying to figure out shipping weight, just wanted to know for weight reduction purposes. I'm considering upgrading to racing seats, but not sure if the swap will be worth it. I've taken our seats out before, but never weighed them. And as you said, yes they are fairly light. That's why I don't want to be too hasty in swapping them until I know what the offset will be.
Aside from weight reduction, I'm also looking at upgrading to racing seats because they are better suited to my 'driving style'.

I can tell you that the power seats are significantly heavier than the manual units. You can save probably 20 lbs by converting from power to manual.

My manual seats are about the same weight (by feel) than my Corbeau CR1 seats. They have the same basic structure- tube & foam & cloth. If you go to a shell type seat, you can probably save some weight, but not much, if anything, if you use a reclining tube & foam type seat.
