My Ohio Generator is rated at 150A too. All I need is that OEM crankshaft pulley.

have you had that Ohio Generator alty tested for proper output? Mebbe something went wrong internally?

highest output I've seen in an ambulance is 200A. after that they start doubling up on alternators

You oughta hook that Aussie up with one of those 200A or maybe a couple of them. I know he's not running more accessories than an ambulance....

It's tested and fine. Nothing is wrong with it. Whenever you increase the current output of an alternator, it loses its performance at idle.

Do you know at what RPM (alternator speed, not engine speed) it begins to produce at least 30A of current? I'm willing to bet it's not until it reaches around 2500RPM or so. In which case, nothing is solved until I get the bigger pulley on the crankshaft (or a smaller one on the alternator). Besides which, I know 150A is more than enough for me.

You must be running big *** driving lights and a lots of video equipment sucking down that much power; I didn't think a Motec used that much amperage...

Not the MoTeC alone. High energy ignition systems definitely have a lot of draw to them. All that is fine until the air conditioning compressor kicks in. Then it's all over.

So, what's the progress so far with ASP?

is this a one-time thing? or will others be able to get them later for the same price? if so will it have to be another group deal or just one-at-a-time?

Once they have it in CAD, it's there for everyone! This is not an actual group deal but monday I'll be getting an update from Candice and I can make a group deal offer. $150 is the estimate I was approximated with... which is a good price, I paid $185 for my UR UDP VG30E crank pulley and about the same for the 03 Maxima. What I spoke to Candice about cornering the market with 2 VG30E Maxima pulleys Oem and UDP.

She's gonna do both since I did notify her that there are guys that need the OEM sized for charging. But they also dimensional calculate the UDP from the stock VG30E dimensions. Once their measurement are CAD'd anyone will be able to order a pulley of either UDP or Oem size.

so the UDP that they are making will be exactly like the one they listed belt sizes for in the stickys... right? I know all too well what happens when you get the wrong belt size... one time on another car i had to cut one belt off completely to get another (more important) one to fit.. ugh. But that is who I would contact, right?

They'll more than likely estimate in the approximate circumfrence of the pulley system, there is a program they use. That listing will more than likely be shipped out with the pulley. The UR UDP's I purchased yrs back had a list and the stock belts still fit better than those that were suppose to fit on them. Gates belts are easy to figure out if there is a problem.
