How do I clean the air conditioner out?

Do I have to go through the the outside or the inside to get to the air conditioner fan and it's components and how do I get to them. After 10 years of service, I figure it's time for a good cleaning before it starts getting a tad cold down here.

if your ac is dying on you it is probably time for a recharge of the compressor. There really aren't any parts you can clean. I believe it is a sealed unit.

The most effective way would be to rip the dash board appart and scrub them by hand, but that would be more trouble than its worth. I would suggest spraying into the vents with some lysol. I'm not exactly sure where the condensing coil is, but I think it is under the passenger side dash board. You want to check the tube that drains the condensed water it is probably plugged causing your problem

I hope this helps
