Auto tranny prob
Hey I just put a used auto tranny in my 90 GXE and it takes a long time to shift into second gear but it does shift into all the gears but I just dont have any power ! Is it a control problem maybe the tranny control module ? I need help

I had the same problem where I could not get my Maxima to start when it was in Park. It was as though the tranny was not in Park. For me, I found thru the 3rd Gen BBS that this was due to a plastic bushing in the shift linkage. This bushing cost less than $1.00 and it is easily replaced. You have to jack your car up, remove the heat shield around the catalytic converter, locate the shift linkage and remove the cotter pin (be careful don't lose the pin, it will spring away from you), remove the old bushing and replace with the new bushing. Voila, problem solved.
