Air filter ?
Hey guys, one of my friends has been tellin me I should get a K&N High Flow air filter for my CAI, since Warpspeed sent me an S&B and he says S&B kinda sucks... does anyone know if it'd actually be worthwhile to buy a $50 K&N or would the difference be negligable?

As far as I know S&B are fine. Where did you or your friend get the info that the S&B filters are inferior to K&N's? As far as performance, you will not be able to tell(unless one filter is maybe 1/2 the area). Where any differences might show is in the filtering ability. But good luck trying to find a S&B vs K&N data. Both are cotton w/ oil added so IMHO both are good.

Well, I think it's more that he just considers K&N to be the industry best, and hasn't ever heard of S&B.. but I'll take your word for it, I wasn't exactly jumpin at the idea of buying a new filter...

It's good to question things but unless he knows something I don't, then the S&B one will be fine. Again you know how the BS flies when there's no data to back it up. I know I've posted diff types of filter tests before on K&N and others. Try to check it out. It's informative but not too good for this particular case.
