Get a drill bit just larger than the shaft of the screw, then just go at it until the head of the screw comes off. you'll then be able to pull off whatever trim piece it is, and possibly remove the screw from the other side and replace it with a new one.

Actually, if you know the approximate diameter of the stripped screw, you can go to your local hardware store and buy a "eazy out". For this to work you will drill bit smaller than the diameter of the screw and then you will insert the "easy out" into the hole that you just drilled. The "easy out" is left hand threaded so as you screw it in it should back out the other screw.

at your local hardware store they probably sell stripped screw heads. Those work great. They ar eheads purposly that look stripped but it grabs into the stripped screws to remove them. Only a few bucks and wworth keeping around.

i've been tryin to get out the screws that are under the door handle but at an angle. i got all the necessary screws out on the passenger doors already in like 5 minutes but the ones on the driver side are a pain to get out. I've been tryint to drill thru them with a small bit and then get the big bit and split the screw in half but its not working very well. tomorrow i guess i have to go to the hardware store and get one of those strip screw things you guys were tellin me about. Do you know about how much they are? Thanks again

I have never seen one of the stripped screw things. I don't have a clue what that is or how it works or how much. But a easy out will run you 5 bucks max(and that is on the high side), you might need to buy some sort of handle that the easy out fits into (shouldn't be too expensive. You will need a smaller drill bit that the size of the screw
