Wow our headlights do suck....

I was driving to a buddies house when a Lexus RX was in the lane next to me. I couldn't even tell if my headlights were on! Then one of the new Grand Caravans passed me with HIDs and same thing..... I think those car's liscense plate lights have more output than my headlights. Any beam shots of someone using E36 projectors with HID?

You can also use these type of files to file down the nubs in the headlight housing...

the nubs on the inside? that's a dumb idea... driver visibility is one thing, but never at the expense of blinding others with a less-controlled light pattern.... not much scarier than coming around a sharp bend on a country road and suddenly getting blinded by an oncoming driver... not being able to tell when to straighten out at the end of the curve until they pass.

He's talking about the bulb housing nubs, so the 9007 bulbs can fit in the 9004's place.

check your lenses for haze and overspray. I had to spend some time with rubbing compound and hand cleaner cleaning the crap off them. made a sizable improvement

Meh, I wanted a one time deal, and it still fits 9004's in the event I ever needed to switch back. Sanding the bulbs every time I needed/wanted to change headlight bulbs sounded like more of a PITA.
