nah, I didn't go any further with it.
I can't afford the purchase price PLUS 2 injectors.
as much as I would like to get it, I have to be realistic.

which is the issue for injectors? parts cost or labor cost? I have 4 working VE-style injectors, and greeny might have some too....

cost, plus patience to do them. I'm also worried about the brakes. I have no time for problems anymore

Why? injectors are much cleaner/easier to do.

cuz i don't like taking the VG intake manifold off.... the coolant and the vac hoses and the fact that i don't have a proper set of allen bits may play a part in that....

but then again i've pulled/installed my own M/T 4 times (5spd swap, clutch, VLSD swap, engine swap), and matt's once, and James's once, plus my a/t when ie died... so i'm getting pretty good at it now.

VE intake plenum is a bit easier to pull.

My forte these days is timing belts...I've got it down to under 3 hours with hand tools!

Not a chance. it's not advertised for sale anywhere.
and now it got moved to the "junkyard" section of the bodyshop's property.
once I get another place to work on cars I may go back and see if it is still there. there are cars there that are older than ANY member on the org.

it's a car for $600. if it runs and passes inspection it's a good deal. if it lasts 6 months it's a good deal that's $100 a month a hell of alot cheaper then an auto loan + full comp insurance.

edit: how do you go through so many cars? do you buy junkers? beat em to death? flip em?

what's an inspection??

I won't be taking a car loan regardless of what I get. I go through cars alot, because I get bored and/or my needs change. most I just resell at a profit.

??? i don't have a ve and i don't need any injectors replaced........

i was saying that given a choice of two tasks, i'd rather replace a tranny than an injector on a VE. cuz brian was saying that the VE he was considering buying needed injectors.. not my car which is a VG anyhow.

Probably so but I bet they're nice and clean there compared to the rusty *** maximas we have here.

Its very hard and rare to find a clean rust free 3rd gen here in Chicago. I've been kinda keepin an eye open for a CLEAN/MINT VE-5 for quite some time but its hard.
