power antenna

power antenna

power antenna wont retract on my car - 92, i hear the motor whirring but the antenna doesnt move, its stuck up...how would i go about fixing this?

You may want to look into getting a new antenna mass. It's possible the nylon track inside the mass probably broke and not catching the track for the motor. No need to buy an entire antenna assembly, the antenna mass is a common thing to break.

YOU CAN GET A GOOD ONE FROM CRUTCHFIELD. THAT IS WHERE I'M ORDERING MY NEW POWER ANTENNA AND THEY ARE NOT THAT EXPENSIVE. CHECK THEM OUT.

If the problem is only nylon track thing, you just need a new antenna mast. That costs about $40-50 at local nissan dealer. I've had same antenna problem. Then I just fixed that last week. It was so easy to install new antenna mast.

I have the same problem how do you install antenna mast?I can't even figure out how to get to the antenna.Please help if you can.
