Let me introduce you to my friend..... THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!

but no, you can't get anywhere near a turbo install with $1300, unless you do it all yourself and do all the piping yourself, and buy a used turbo.

I don't know how bad you really want one, but here is a number that can really help you out. The place is called "Nissan ZX Atlanta Racing" and the number is (404)299-8100. Hope it all works out.

With the vg its able to be done maybe a tad bit more than 1300. I spoke to Nismo87se about it on my 88 nissan maxima if its able to be done he said the max if done on your own is 1400. Is all I wld nd is a turbo from an 88 300zxt and ecu and wiring... Ok wait how about you go to the Gen maxima discussion forum and go to the thread that says turbo project or some sort go to the 3rd page. and my post is on that page along with nismo87ses about how I would be able to do it. And you know wht I have a vg. I cantctd advance auto partsIII they said thay are soon going to be selling remanufactured turbos for the 88 300zxts. sO HOPEFULLY THIS MIGHT WORK. Itll take some time to figure out though. But for real chk out the gen max. disc. forum and look for the thread that has in big words Possible turbo kit or some sort. And youll see basically wht youll nd. Youd be able to at most run about 6-9psi of boost. Im no wiz or nothing but this is info derived from nismo87se. Hes well known for his 2nd gen. info and vg info.

don't rule it out or criticize it untill you've tried it and proved it to be impossible....

With enough creative engineering it probably can be done..

sometimes i forget my password and sometimes i remember. i got my supercharger. i also bought yellow neon lights that goes on the bottom of my car and lights up the ground. it looks tight. my supercharger doesn't fit. i tried to get some mechanic guy to work on it and he can't make it fit. i want to return the supercharger but i dont want to pay for shipping to another country. anyone want to buy it? i paid $2800 for it. i heard it might fit on another nissan engine so maybe i will sell it to someone who has an engine that fits the supercharger. maybe i could find that engine and put it in my maxima and then install the supercharger. i heard nissan engines arent like honda engines that people can swap anything in a honda.

Re: Re: Re: Re: what about super charger

ending an open conversation on the possibilty of adding a SC to the car is extremely short sighted. Sure we've down the road many times before, but creative thought has lead to many innovations.
i.e. look at the vortech kit for the B series honda motor. Since someone was creative and opened up competition in the market once dominated by jackson racing.

just some clarification. you probably already know this, but the first pic you have there is a vg30e custom turbo job and the second pic is a vg30et.

Your Back! i thought the day would never come
ill by your supercharger for 3G. can you ship it to pa. im gonna try and fit it in my max, because i already found a mechanic that says that he has put many a cupercharger in a maxima so hes gonna do mine. he was going to import the supercharger from the type r max for me, but it would cost too much.

nice to see some of the **** heads on here havne't changed from actually helping people instead of bashing them unlike some other *******s that made it clear that they need a lesson in maxima knowledge

1. the turbo kit CAN be built for under 1000 dollars. i proved this one myself a number of years back
2. a supercharger can be made to fit a ve with easy. vg is a little more complicated due to the shape of the intake manifold. but can work.

if you posted here just to critisize the man for posting a question you should not be on this board

Hey Bryan,

Are you telling me I am not the first VE turbo? I thought I had locked up that status, and the cheap turbo status (mine was about $1K) ....

i had all the parts to do it, just never got enough time set aside to have the car down for a couple days while i did the kit.

to my knowledge you are the first to ever go through with it. just not the first to think of it and do the design, and get the parts.

The guy I've mentioned before with the Turbo'd '87 Max is selling it. Ran 12.7 in the 1/4 and is asking $6k for it. Just FYI.

Okay guys,

Don't chew me or anything like that, but I had an interesting weekend. I went down to a drag strip in Jacksonville, Florida (about 60 miles from where I am in S. Georgia). Anyway, I went down there with a friend of mine to run his Lightning with a 100 shot of nitrous. Well, when we were getting ready to run it, someone ran a black 3rd Gen Max GXE on there. It had the chrome stuff around the doors and a chrome grill. Anyway, He ran a 12.8 in the 1/4. That really blew my mind. I went over and tried to get a look at it, but he was leaving. We asked around and there were some people who knew him. They said that the engine was a VG30E (regular engine). They gave me his address of the place (auto customizing shop) in Jacksonville. The next time I go down there, I am going to try and hit him up for some information.

I'll let you guys know what turns out.

Re: Re: Okay guys,

Dude,

I wouldn't have believed 12.8 unless I saw it -- and I did. It makes me think of the possibilities. For someone to run a 12.8 in a GXE, how much power has that thing got to have?
