Boy do I feel stupid...how do you remove exhaust tip?

Boy do I feel stupid...how do you remove exhaust tip?

Okay...so I've got to be missing something here, and it's probably something really easy too. The stock chrome tip on my exhaust is battered and beaten and I'd just like to remove it. There didn't appear to be any screws or anything holding it in place but try as I might I couldn't get it off there.

What am I missing?

I think mine was spot welded on - I threw it out with the old muffler.

I don't know how to get that dingleberry off.

i know that mine WAS spot welded, we just cut it off. acetylene torch ftw

Sawzal/Drill/sledge hammer. pic you poison. it would be easier to to wait and get a new muffler.

Tru waiting is easier. as far as Sawzall.. those fail unless you have a seriously strong metal cutting blade. We tried several bi-metal blades and the muffler ate them for lunch.
