VG Coil Springs

Is there an OEM style coil springs for the VG offered in the secondary market? I've found lowered ones, but I'm looking for the factory height.

Checked the price on Courtesy - yikes - OEM springs are THAT much?

why would you want a set of oem style springs? you typically only replace springs if they are starting to sag, which I have yet to see in any cars (at least, I have not heard of it.) your best bet may be to get used springs, or go with a drop on eibachs.

yea. i've only very rarely heard of the springs actually sagging.. usually problems happen with worn out struts. tho the right rear of my car seems to sit lower than the left rear.. and the whole rear sits lower than the front (rear looks dropped already... front is still 4x4 status). But i'm just gonna get eibachs and tokicos.. once installed i will never know if the old springs really were sagging, but if not for my intention to drop, i wouldn't be replacing any springs.

chances are good a JY will have good springs. the only springs i have seen sag are Leaf Spring. the old springs on my max did have a little rust but i didnt knotice it till after i put on eibach and tokicos some years ago.

Cool. I'll also check it out by actually measuring once it warms to 0 degree C. When the rear strut actually froze, the car was sagging, but the sagging was likely due to the strut being stuck in the down position more than normal. Now that it thawed, it seems that particular side with the sagging has either disappeared completely or reduced mostly, showing the springs are likely OK.

The best thing I guess is install the new struts, and measure for the sag. If there's no or little sag, then leave the springs alone.
