Could 5 of my 6 injectors be bad?

I've had this 93 VG sitting for 2+ years and finally got around to tearing it down tonight. Trying to figure out if these injectors have been replaced or if they are factory. I have 5 orange ones, and one pink one that says "Jecs" on the side. Which are orginal and which have been replaced? The only one that OHMs to show it is working is the pink Jecs unit, 10-11ohms. The other units have 0 ohms, could all 5 be bad or just a different brand you can't ohm read?

Thanks, Pat

Orange?

maxima injectors are either pink(VG30E engine) or red (VE30DE engine)

can you post some pics of the orange injectors? I'm curious..

Lemme guess, the car will not run at all, right? If yes, then yes the "orange" injectors are most likely bad..

Definetly orange, they must all be aftermarket. Are the rebuilt injectors trash? The only one I have is the pink (VG30) one that works. Traveling to the yard tomorrow to yanky yank some injectors.

Well I confirmed they were orange, and yes the car runs like garbage, if at all.

i think some aftermarket brands do make weird colors like blue, gray, and orange (well, weird in respect to what color our injectors are supposed to be)

Actually, what were once pink injectors can fade and look yellowish / orangish. When I pulled 3 of the originals to replace them they were faded to a yellowish color and looked nothing like the new, pink ones I was installing.

Same car? What happened after this thread? did you just let it sit? fixed the issue? same issues? are you going to keep this thread updated?

Unbelievable, yep same car. I left for school and never got around to fixing it. I transferred closer to home and now its time to finish this deal. I just picked up the fuel injectors today, they all checked out good except one of them is reading 30 or so ohms. I am just going to throw it in there and hope for the best. If nothing else it will limp and confirm the problem is the injectors.

the 30 ohm one won't work... take the good injector from your old set, put it in in place of the 30ohm injector in your replacement set. put new o-rings on it, lube them well w/ vaseline, and slowly (quarter turn at a time) turn both screws alternating back and forth betweeen them until it's seated, being REALLy careful not to pinch the o-rings

How do you pop these injectors out? Despite what I've read they don't just "pop out"

I reccommend dealership o-rings, I went through many parts store o-rings ripping them no matter how much lube i put on.

Im not too sure about the fuel rail on a VG, I dont recommend it, but I use vice grips, locking pliers, and just pull. I leave fuel rail on. I don't tighten the vice grips too much, just enough to have a solid lock. I believe your are suppose to remove the fuel rail and push them out from the bottom. They didn't just pop out for me the first time when i took the fuel rail off. Thats why i leave it on and use vice grips.
