Replacing injector

Replacing injector

how long should it take me with all the tools I need............. I'm going under the manifold though cylinder 5 VE engine

The question is, do you know how to use all the tools you need? are you proficient with cars? have you done any disassembling/assembling? The question shouldn't be about the tools but rather on YOUR ability.

My first time without the right tools took about 7 hours lol, had to keep running to the parts store to get whatever tools I found out I didnt have as I worked. Also had to go back and buy vacuum hoses, carb cleaner, gasket scraper and what not.

Right now I'm at the point where I can swap front and rear injectors in no more than 1.5 hours taking my time without rushing and doing things right.

hand tools or air/power tools?
realistically for a first time, figure 3 hours.

Yes I have done disassembling ans assembling and i got to skool for this im doin it during an open lab and i have everything i need gaskets,scraper,hoses,new o-ring kit

If I remember correctly, ALLDATA's booktime on the VG30e was 2 to 2.5 hours when I checked. Unfortunately I dont have data on this laptop so I cant check for ya but be sure to know the steps prior to starting on it. Are you being graded for this at school?

If I am reading alldata, rihgt, it says mfg warranty:1.6, standard: 2.2.
then again, I am still trying to learn to use alldata.

if its your first time estimate 4 hours. i always double the time. i have replace injectors in just under 2 hours on the VG. i have done it about 4 times so i can do it in my sleep

No not graded just open lab to do any repairs anyone might need but it only from 8 to 12 so i wanted an estimate

oh ok i just didnt want to have it apart and it be incomplete
